Situated along the Columbia River, East Wenatchee is very much an outdoorsy city. There’s fishing, boating, and wakeboarding all at the Columbia River during the summer months. The Wings and Wheels Festival is another popular event that remembers the first non-stop flight across the Pacific Ocean, and has a collection of planes, cars, WWII re-enactors and other fun events. Most of town goes out to support their local sports teams- the Wenatchee Wild hockey team, and the Wenatchee Applesox baseball team at all of their games. With so many local activities, East Wenatchee is a wonderful place for families. East Wenatchee public schools are in the Eastmont School District#206 which gives each student a valued education. Major shopping is at the Wenatchee Valley Mall, but shopping is continuing to expand in the area with many current construction projects.
